The Aztec Athletic Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose mission is to support and promote SDSU Athletics primarily by fund raising for its intercollegiate teams, providing student-athlete scholarships, recognizing male and female student athletes and fostering community support. The Aztec Athletic Foundation acknowledges athletics boosters in seven giving categories:

• Platinum Aztec, for gifts of $25,000 or more
• Golden Aztec, for gifts of $12,000 - $24,999
• Silver Aztec, for gifts of $6,000 - $11,999
• Bronze Aztec, for gifts of $3,000 - $5,999
• Champion Aztec, for gifts of $1,200 - $2,999
• Fighting Aztec, for gifts of $600 - $1199
• Defending Aztec, for gifts of $300 - $599
